STORY: The mystery of this old vine Zinfandel vineyard makes for quite the waiting game come harvest time. Just when you think the ripeness has peaked, there appears to be yet another gear, more and more flavor to be had. Sonoma sunshine raining down on 125-year-old vines with deep reaching, steadfast roots, tends to have that effect. All we have to do as winemakers then is wait for the precise moment and make sure to stay out of the way. 20% new Missouri and French oak lends an indulgent maple butter element to this ultra engaging heritage bottling. Pairs with barbecue, burgers, spicy asian cuisine, and deep dish pizza.
