2023 OLABISI SAUVIGNON BLANC

WILD DIAMOND VINEYARD • LAKE COUNTY

STORY: The second vintage from this stellar mountain-top location in Lake County. Planted by Bruce Regalia (the visionary grape grower behind our previous Napa Sauv Blanc vineyard, as well as our Napa Merlot.) 2022 marked our first year with this vineyard. We thought it was such a huge success that we decided to double production in 2023. This also allowed us to incorporate more barrel and yeast variety in the making of the wine. And it doesn't hurt that '23 was a simply fantastic vintage in California. Enjoy with basil pesto pasta, seared scallops, roasted Brussels sprouts and pancetta, pasta salad, or a concert in the park.

VINIFICATION: We like to ferment the SB in a combination of small stainless steel barrels and neutral French oak. We also use a wide variety of exotic yeast strains to bring multilayered complexity to the blend.

ELEVAGE: 6 months, sur lees.

ALC: 14.5%

TASTING NOTES—An etherial melange of tangerines, peaches, pineapples, and white pears swirl and entice on the nose. The palate opens deep, silky, and round with Meyer lemon, creme fraiche, Honey Dew melon, alfalfa, clover, cold red licorice, and stone fruits, along with some other newly invented categories of dreamy summer fruit deliciousness.
