STORY: Our final vintage from this fabulous vineyard in Napa's Oak Knoll District. To our dismay, the owners have decided to keep this all for themselves, but who can blame them. We are grateful for the four wonderful vintages we have in bottle. So we'll call this is a victory lap of sorts. A wine built for immediate pleasure, with just enough structure to allow for a subtle evolution over the next five to ten to fifteen years. A loyal friend for long nights by the fire. Pairs well with roasted pork, lamb, hearty stews, and movie night.

ELEVAGE: 18 months in barrel, 75% new French Oak

ALC: 14.7%

PRODUCTION: 100 cases

TASTING NOTES: Aromas of black cherries, rich muddled berries, pie crust, dusted cocoa powder, strawberry preserves, with underlying tones of mocha, espresso bean, and chocolate pudding. On the palate, rich and full bodied with milk chocolate cake batter, browned butter, maple and dulce de leche, polished tannins, pleasing length, with liquid chocolate and fresh blueberries.
