STORY: The 2017 brings a melange of exciting varietals, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon. Ever since the first vintage in 2011, the Prop Red has been an eminently drinkable sort of blend, painted on the backdrop and welcoming texture of plush Napa Merlot. The sort of wine that belongs on your table. The sort of wine that those of us who call Napa Valley our home, feel like we deserve on a regular basis. That's part of why we live here after all. Food and wine. These wines. The ones that just seem to taste like the dream of wine country living.
Blend: 61% Napa Merlot, 26% Zinfandel, and 13% Napa Petite Sirah
Production: 121 cases
TASTING NOTES: Aromas of grape cola, roasted herbs, candied walnuts, black peppter, pen ink, cherry cheesecake, cement, candy-apple Jolly Rancher, honey stick, and thai tea ice-cream. The palate is pure and somehow just correct, with upfront flavors of velvet chocolate cake, juicy strawberry, asphalt, but tangy and quenching, with a rich long finish. (Enjoy 2020-2029)
