VINIFICATION: A studied blend of Napa Cabernet vineyards, including some from the Picnic Vineyard, some from the Miller Family Vineyard, and even a touch of Black Pearl for good measure. A delicious wine that shows off the sheer ripening power of the Napa Valley sunshine, with juiciness, suppleness, velvetiness, and incredible drinkability in an elegantly structured style that only Napa Cab can do. Fermented primarily on native yeasts, punched down by hand in open top fermenters, and gently pressed directly to 75% new French oak barriques, where the wine matured for 18 months before we bottled it unfiltered.

TASTING NOTES: Packed with aromas of boysenberries, maple, hickory, roasted sage, black cherries, dusted cocoa, buttered herbs, blackberry juice, and a hint of black licorice. The palate opens rich, creamy and juicy, with dark chocolate, dark fruits, buttery rosemary, and well-integrated supple tannins that lead to a beautiful finish of caramel and the echoing of all that rich fruit. Pairs well with grilled meat, brisket, crusty french bread and brie, spicy pork chops, or a simple pasta of olive oil and garlic. (Enjoy 2020-2039)
